Mail-In or Local Pickup?
Both are legitimate. Which one wins depends on what you have.
The short answer
Local pickup wins for most lots in metro Atlanta: cash the same day, nothing to pack, no shipping risk, and no minimum order. Mail-in wins if you are outside a buyer's pickup radius, if your lot is small enough that nobody will drive for it, or if you have a high-value pod or sensor lot where a national buyer's volume pricing beats local by enough to justify the wait.
Where mail-in genuinely costs you
- Minimum orders. Most national mail-in buyers set a dollar floor on the lots they will process. Under it, they will not take your lot at all. We have no minimum.
- Payment timing. Inspection on arrival, then payment. That is a week, sometimes two.
- Shipping risk. Rare, but a lost box is your problem to argue about.
- Re-quoting after inspection. Your leverage is gone once the box is in their building.
Where local costs you
- Marginally lower per-box price on some brands, because national volume is higher.
- Scheduling. Outer-ring cities run on route days rather than on demand.
What we do
Both. If your lot is small or you are past the ring, we send a prepaid label rather than pretend a drive to Newnan for two boxes makes sense. Same published prices either way, and we ship failures back free rather than keeping them.
